ASTROLOGY for THE WEEK June 14 - 20, 2026

What in your life is asking to be seen differently. Differently as opposed to fixed or improved or corrected. It’s also a chin or shoulder tilt, something is asking to be seen differently. This is the radical invitation of a NEW MOON in GEMINI. It shies on June 14 in dark and regenerative silence of a sky without moonlight, asking us to twist the kaleidoscope before we decide what we are looking at.

GEMINI is mind that watches itself think. Awareness behind thought. The moment we recognise that the story we have been telling is a story and not the truth, and that we are the one telling it, which means we are also the one who can choose to tell it differently. The NEW MOON here plants itself in our relationship with our own perception, with the narratives we have inherited or constructed around who we are, how we love, what we deserve, what is possible for us. These are the seeds of the lunar month ahead. Not what we want to acquire or achieve but how we want to see. For an easy RITUAL for the NEW MOON in GEMINI.

MERCURY, (the ruler of GEMINI), is moving slowly. More slowly each day, preparing to station retrograde in CANCER on June 29. The shadow of that retrograde is already falling across this NEW MOON, and it changes the frequency of what we are planting. What MERCURY retrograde in CANCER will ask of us in the weeks ahead is a returning, a revisiting, a going back to something unfinished and still pulling on the heart. And so the seeds planted at this NEW MOON are likely not entirely new things. They are unfinished things. Abandoned projects that still hold life. Conversations delayed past their ideal moment that are now genuinely ripe. Old creative work that was left incomplete, or a newer version. The NEW MOON in GEMINI asks us to look at what has been put down and feel honestly whether it has actually finished, or whether it has simply been waiting.

Mid-week, VENUS in LEO moves through a sequence of outer planet aspects that carry their own distinct vibration. On June 15 she sextiles URANUS in GEMINI, and there is an electric and delight to this, an openness in how we connect, what we find beautiful, and willingness to be surprised. On June 16 she trines NEPTUNE in ARIES, and the energetic becomes more dreamy and inspired, beauty as a physical sensation of porousness, of the ordinary world becomes briefly transparent to the luminous beneath it. These two days are genuinely gorgeous. Creative work, romantic feeling, the inspired and imaginal, all of it is more alive to us.

On June 17, VENUS opposes PLUTO in retrograde. VENUS in LEO wants to be celebrated free of outside expectations, to love without the weight of collective judgment pressing down on the personal truth of her desire. PLUTO retrograde in AQUARIUS operates in the underground of the collective, unspoken power dynamics, social agreements about welcome and unwelcome expression. The opposition on June 17 is a direct uncomfortable confrontation between self that wants to shine and accumulated weight of all the voices that have told us to dim.

The day asks something of us with genuine force. We may have been shrinking our visibility to fit a collective expectation. The opposition illuminates this. It holds both truths simultaneously, individual and group, and asks us to find the place where we can be fully ourselves within the shared world rather than in spite of it.

CHIRON enters TAURUS on June 19. Forty years since CHIRON last moved through this sign. Forty years (how old are you? What was happening then?). CHIRON has been in ARIES since 2018, eight years of excavating the wounds closest to the self, the wounds of identity and worth and the right to desire and to exist with full presence and agency. That work has been real and sometimes brutal and deeply necessary. And now CHIRON crosses into TAURUS, and the wound it is moving toward healing is a different.

TAURUS is the body. The earth. The senses. Food and rest and pleasure and the felt sense of being genuinely, physically here. The TAURUS wound is the wound of belonging to the physical world, of trusting the body, of believing in our own right to nourishment and ease and genuine sensory pleasure without guilt or justification. It is the wound that lives in our relationship with money and with material security, in the fear that there is not enough, that we are not enough, that the earth itself cannot be trusted to hold us. It is the wound in our relationship with nature, with land, with the living world that surrounds and sustains us and from which most of us have drifted further than we know.

CHIRON in TAURUS will be with us in this preview until September, before returning briefly to ARIES and then entering TAURUS permanently. What begins now is an eight year invitation to heal our relationship with the body and the earth as genuinely and as honestly as CHIRON in ARIES has been healing our relationship with the self. These two projects are not separate. The self that could not be trusted in ARIES was always, beneath that wound, a body that could not feel safe. CHIRON moving into TAURUS completes the picture. The medicine CHIRON in TAURUS offers is extraordinarily simple and extraordinarily difficult for most of us to actually receive. Food as devotion. Rest as repair. Pleasure as genuine and necessary nourishment rather than something earned or stolen between responsibilities. Our body as home rather than vehicle. The earth as belonging rather than resource. These are the ground from which all other healing grows. This week, in the days surrounding CHIRON’s ingress, notice what arises in your body. In your relationship with food and rest and money and the physical world. Old stories surface first. CHIRON’s transits begin with the ouch before ease. Be gentle with yourself.

The week closes almost at SOLSTICE, June 21, and the light is already shifting. Something that has been moving quickly is beginning to turn toward the interior. The year pivots. The excavation of the first half of 2026, the extraordinary sequence of outer planet movements and ingresses and awakenings that have been remaking the collective landscape since April, begins now to move toward integration and a new ground beginning to be walked on rather than merely prepared. We are not the same as we were in January. This week asks us to know that. To feel it in our bodies. To let the new perception of this GEMINI NEW MOON look back at the year so far and recognise, with genuine and unhurried honesty, how much has genuinely changed.

This writing is shaped slowly in genuine relationship with the sky, with the season, and with the people who find their way to it. If it has met you somewhere real this week, if something in it resonates what you are already sensing or gave language to what you are moving through that is the exchange this work is reaching for. This work grows through resonance. Through the quiet passing of something meaningful from one person to another. Consider adding someting to my tip jar or sharing the article with someone who will receive it.

Both are welcome. Both keep the current moving.
