ASTROLOGY for the week 18th -24th October
We move between what is visible and what is not. Stracciatella low light. VENUS has been returning to this same point of the sky since 1926 tracing a five-petalled rose across the zodiac. One petal rooted in SCORPIO, and each time she has passed through this same gate, this same degree. Every eight years the petalled cycle completing itself and beginning again. October 23rd 2026 is the last time. What is completing now is a century of something.
I have been allowing thought to wander and be charmed in the connectiveness, the line, blood yes, but that golden thread that is woven and unwoven, self-strengthening in becoming. The elastication and the frey. What gets passed on even in the wishing it wasn't. What VENUS has play in the vedic and indigenous healing approach to personal and collective choices that ripple seven generations past and future, (more in my private SUNDAY LETTER).
In the coming days VENUS disappears completely from the evening sky. She squares her shoulders with PLUTO, the last gate, before the final descent. Myth is made here. It was never going to be comfortable.
Then she is gone to the setting place. Invisible and closer to us than at any other point in her entire cycle, the most intimate distance in the sky. The Sumerians watched this same disappearance four thousand years ago and wrote INANNA's descent as a queen choosing to go down into the dark, surrendering everything that defined her on the way, arriving stripped to the essential self. The descent that takes everything is also the descent that reveals what cannot be taken.
CAZIMI. The fold at the centre of the rose held now in the full light of the source. When she rises it will not be from foam, it will be from the dark before dawn. She is PHOSPHORUS. A shift from evening to morning, from setting to rising before the sun, from the star we watch fade into the dusk to the one who brings light into the darkness with luminescent bones.
