On URANUS leaving TAURUS  and what we are releasing

For seven years, URANUS has moved through TAURUS.

Seven years of disruption arriving not in the sky, but in the body. In the earth beneath our feet. In our relationship with money, with security, with food and land and the material structures we have built our sense of safety upon. URANUS in TAURUS has been rewriting sometimes gently, more often not everything we thought we could depend on. The ground has shifted. Supply chains, financial systems, our relationship with nature, with ownership, with the very concept of stability, all of it has been turned over, examined, and asked to evolve (and I haven’t stopped talking about it but I will now).

For those of us with personal placements in TAURUS, a SUN, MOON, RISING, or inner planet that has been hosting this long and restless visitor this transit has been intimate. Deeply so. URANUS conjunct a personal placement does not traffic in subtlety. It arrives like a window thrown open in a room that had grown too small. Liberating, yes, but also disorienting, and sometimes devastating before it becomes clear.

Life may have rearranged itself in ways that were not chosen. Identity may have cracked open. The things we thought defined us our bodies, our livelihoods, our sense of physical belonging in the world may have asked us to hold them far more loosely than felt comfortable. For some of us, this transit brought a complete reinvention of how we live. For others, a slow and persistent undoing of what we had built, followed eventually by something more honest in its place.

What URANUS in TAURUS has been teaching us, in its uncompromising way, is that real security does not live in what we possess. It lives in our capacity to remain present through change. That is the gift, hard-won as it has been.

As URANUS now crosses the threshold into GEMINI, there is a release available to us. Those of us who have been living at the edge of our own reinvention for years may feel, this week, something settling. A faint but real sense that the most destabilising chapter is drawing to a close. We are not the same as we were in 2018 when URANUS entered TAURUS. We were not meant to be.

For SCORPIO, AQUARIUS, and LEO, the long square and opposition

When a slow-moving outer planet like URANUS travels through a sign for seven years, it does not only speak to the sign it inhabits. Through the geometry of the zodiac, it reaches into the signs that stand at ninety and one hundred and eighty degrees from it forming squares and oppositions that carry their own distinct quality of friction, tension, and ultimately, transformation.

SCORPIO sits opposite TAURUS. Where TAURUS holds the body, the material world, what is seen and touched and counted, SCORPIO holds what is beneath the underground rivers of power, desire, grief, and regeneration. For those of us with personal placements in SCORPIO, URANUS in TAURUS has been moving through the territory of partnership and one-to-one relationship creating a long and sometimes turbulent opposition across the axis of self and other, resource and intimacy, what we own and what we share. Oppositions illuminate through contrast and through confrontation. They ask us to see what we have been projecting, what we have been withholding, where the deepest bonds in our lives have been quietly asking to evolve. URANUS opposing SCORPIO placements may have brought ruptures in partnership, unexpected shifts in shared finances, or a complete restructuring of our closest emotional agreements. The gift, when we can receive it, is a more honest and liberated experience of intimacy one that no longer depends on control or concealment.

AQUARIUS and LEO form the square to TAURUS, that ninety-degree angle of creative tension that demands movement rather than comfort. A square does not destroy. It insists.

For those of us with personal placements in AQUARIUS, URANUS squaring from TAURUS has created friction in the territory of home, roots, and the private interior of our lives. The disruption has arrived not in the public world but in the foundational layer — in our sense of belonging, our relationship with family and ancestry, the very ground beneath our domestic life. Something in the home, or in the inherited emotional architecture we carry, has been asked to change. The tension between who we are in our most private self and who we are becoming in the world has been a live and sometimes destabilising current. What URANUS has been clearing here is the outdated foundation making space for something more authentic to be built beneath us.

For those of us with personal placements in LEO, the square from TAURUS has moved through the territory of career, reputation, and our relationship with our public calling. URANUS here has been disrupting the story we tell about what we are here to do cracking open a professional identity that had grown too fixed, creating unexpected turns in our path, sometimes dismantling what we had built in order to reveal something more genuinely aligned beneath it. The tension between our creative heart and what the world has been asking of us, between who we are and how we are seen, has been a defining pressure of these years. The disruption, unwelcome as it may have felt at times, has been an invitation toward a more authentic relationship with our own authority and our place in the world.

For all of these signs TAURUS, SCORPIO, AQUARIUS, LEO  the movement of URANUS into GEMINI represents a genuine shift in pressure. The intensity that has been concentrated in that fixed-sign axis begins, now, to redirect. What was asked of us in the body, in the home, in our partnerships and our public lives will increasingly be asked of us in the mind and in how we communicate. The work moves. And we move with it.

This is exactly the kind of transit that reveals itself most clearly in a personal chart. If we want to understand precisely how URANUS in TAURUS has been speaking to our own story and where URANUS in GEMINI will next direct its brilliance and disruption a personal ASTROLOGY READING offers that map. As prediction sure, but the jewel is as orientation. As symbolic language for what we have already been living.
