Incense doesn't just smell incredible - burning it promotes relaxation, reduce stress levels, aid sleep, and encourage us to become more mindful.
When we observe a holistic ritual like this, we often find ourselves slowing down and entering a state of flow. As soon as we shift our focus away from other distractions and surrender to the present, the moment becomes sacred. In the same way that a simple act like burning incense can do this, it also has the power to change our homes - this is the AYURVEDIC principal of VASTU.
In this workshop:
- Learn how to make incense
- Get introduced to basic Ayurveda principles in particular for this season of KAPHA / PITTA (SPRING- LATE SPRING
- Step away with your own beautiful smelling incense
- Drink tea
- Create ceremony for creativity, ritual, and life
- burning rituals for the MOON phases
Ayurveda's central pillar is the belief that our health and wellbeing are dependent on our mind, body and spirit being balanced. We may not realise it, but incorporating holistic rituals into our day, such as burning incense, possesses the power to totally transform it.
In ancient ceremonies bark, bushes and resin were burned for their energy purifying properties. We'll be looking at heavenly aromatics like patchouli, rose and thyme which can cleanse your home when burned. I'll share their knowledge about the magical properties of ancient barks and resins before we make our own Ayurvedic incense ropes and cones.
