ASTROLOGICAL WEATHER and TAROT | OCTOBER 12-18

ASTROLOGICAL WEATHER | October 12–18

We move into this week carrying the afterglow — and the ache — of last week’s FULL MOON in ARIES. It was no gentle illumination; it was an ignition. A moment of unmistakable truth that showed where courage meets surrender, and where we’ve been holding on too tightly to what no longer fits. For many, this week opens with the quiet realisation that something has shifted permanently.

Tonight, the MOON enters CANCER, calling us home — not just to our physical space, but to the soft chambers of the heart. This is the Moon’s own sign, and she feels deeply here. Let the water rise; let it cleanse. Cancer asks us to feel to heal — to tend to the tender places that the recent lunar blaze revealed.

By October 13, the cosmic current changes colour: VENUS enters LIBRA, her elegant home, while PLUTO stations direct in AQUARIUS. Love and beauty come into focus, but so do our power dynamics, the subtle currents that shape intimacy and choice. There’s a collective sigh as the long retrograde shadow begins to lift — but this is no superficial ease. It’s a reckoning. What stories of control, fear, or resistance are ready to be rewritten?

Through it all, MERCURY now travels in SCORPIO, approaching fiery MARS. The mind sharpens; intuition becomes x-ray vision. We begin to sense the undercurrents — the motives, the truths beneath the words. It’s not yet a confrontation, but the temperature is rising. The coming weeks will demand honesty, discernment, and emotional precision. Speak slowly. Listen deeper. Let your words be spells for transformation.

On October 14, the MOON enters LEO, bringing lightness after depth — a time to stretch into joy, to play, to remember that your heart is a source of power, not just emotion. As the week matures, the SUN in LIBRA moves into opposition with CHIRON in ARIES (October 17), a potent meeting of the healer and the wound. Old relational patterns may resurface, but now we can see them with compassion instead of reaction. The MOON in VIRGO helps us ground — turn reflection into ritual, pain into practice.

These moments shape the years ahead, shifting us from one chapter of life into the next. The view from here is vast and shimmering, but stepping into it requires courage, clarity, and trust.

My books for ASTROLOGY and TAROT are open now for OCTOBER. An astrology reading with me is a way to glimpse beyond the eclipse’s veil—to understand where these tides are flowing in your own chart, what is closing, and what is waiting to begin.

SUN | MOON | RISING for the FULL MOON in ARIES

Read for your SUN | MOON | RISING to feel more deeply into the week’s weather. As always, take what resonates and leave the rest.

If this resonates with you and you would like to see more, and support this work, you can add something to my TIP JAR

ARIES

Patterning regarding relationships and belonging is softly — or not so softly — knocking this week. The echo of last week’s FULL MOON still hums, calling you to witness how far you’ve come in expressing your truth. With Venus now in Libra, your opposite sign, everything feels relational: how you love, how you balance, how you offer your energy. The mirror of the other is polished bright — not to critique, but to clarify. Pluto’s station reminds you that power shared is not power lost. What arises now does so because you are ready to meet it with greater compassion and grace than before. Let connection refine you, not define you.

TAURUS

This week invites a gentle recalibration of your daily rhythm. Life has been loud, and your nervous system is asking for coherence — not control, but care. With Venus, your ruler, moving into Libra, the small rituals of life take on a devotional tone: the morning tea, the quiet walk, the tending of body and home. Mercury in Scorpio sharpens your awareness of who or what drains your energy; boundaries become sacred self-love. The Moon’s movement from Cancer to Virgo offers you a natural container to nurture consistency — not perfection. Ask yourself where fifteen minutes of devoted practice could change the entire shape of your day.

GEMINI

Your mind is electric under this week’s sky, Mercury in Scorpio illuminating hidden patterns in thought, speech, and connection. You’re learning that words can heal as much as they can harm — and that silence can be medicine, too. Venus in Libra draws you toward play, creativity, and romantic expression; it reminds you that lightness can be deep, that laughter is an act of grace. Yet Pluto’s station and the Cancer-to-Leo Moon ask for embodiment — to bring those swirling insights into the tangible world. Share something that feels true. Speak with beauty and intention. You are reweaving your voice into something powerful and whole.

CANCER

The MOON enters your sign at the start of the week, bringing everything close to the surface. Feelings you’ve been softly pressing down swell into awareness, but this isn’t regression — it’s revelation. What you feel most deeply right now is guiding you toward where you most need to be seen and met. With VENUS in LIBRA, home and relationship blur; the domestic becomes devotional, the familiar becomes sacred again. PLUTO stationing direct activates your axis of partnership — who do you become when you merge, and how do you return to yourself? The weekend’s VIRGO MOON steadies your waters and reminds you that speaking your truth is how you self-soothe.

LEO

The FULL MOON’s afterglow still pulses through you, illuminating purpose and perspective. You may feel a pull between the big picture and the small daily motions — how do your habits support your dreams? VENUS in LIBRA brings beauty to your words and warmth to your social sphere, while PLUTO’s shift shakes loose the old expectations that have kept you performing instead of expressing. This week asks you to let go of control and allow yourself to be seen as you are, not as you “should” be. The LEO MOON midweek reawakens confidence, and by the time we move into VIRGO, your attention to detail can finally serve the art of self-respect rather than perfectionism.

 VIRGO

The light of this season still touches you deeply. VENUS entering LIBRA highlights your second house of value and self-worth — this is about remembering that worth is not something earned, but embodied. The SUN and VENUS in LIBRA illuminate how your work, wellbeing, and rhythm reflect what you most treasure. PLUTO’s direct motion may stir your creative pulse, asking for expression that feels real, textured, and true. When the MOON enters VIRGO, it’s your invitation to return to your own rituals of balance — to tend your inner garden, noticing what now feels ready to bloom.

LIBRA

The week opens under a sky that feels both soft and charged — VENUS, your ruling planet, enters LIBRA, joining the SUN and blessing you with the kind of glow that comes from deep equilibrium. After the intensity of recent weeks, you begin to sense your center again. Yet with PLUTO stationing direct, a quiet transformation stirs in the corners of your emotional landscape — where control has been your protection, surrender now becomes your teacher. The LEO MOON midweek invites gentle celebration, and when CHIRON opposes the SUN near the weekend, it may reveal a place still tender in the heart. Let your grace hold it; this, too, is beauty.

SCORPIO

This week carries both release and readiness. With PLUTO, your modern ruler, stationing direct, the energy you’ve been holding internally begins to turn outward again — it’s a reclamation of your own creative power. You may feel the hum of new momentum building beneath the surface, especially in your collaborations or commitments. VENUS in LIBRA softens the edges of the psyche, reminding you that love isn’t always earned through intensity. The CANCER and LEO MOONS invite you to lift your gaze beyond the immediate and trust that what’s forming doesn’t need to be rushed. By week’s end, the VIRGO MOON helps you craft form from feeling — dream grounded, mystery made practical.

SAGITTARIUS

There’s a widening in your world again — a sense of vision returning after a few weeks of emotional inventory. VENUS in LIBRA stirs your social spirit and invites reconnection; you are being asked to rediscover what feels like community, not obligation. PLUTO stationing direct activates your mental and communication zones, helping you release limiting thoughts and speak from deeper alignment. The LEO MOON midweek feels like fresh air through your mind, encouraging you to take a leap or plan for one. The SUN opposite CHIRON illuminates where your own fire meets vulnerability — and how both can coexist without canceling each other out.

CAPRICORN

The week arrives like a deep breath — not easy, but essential. PLUTO, your modern companion in transformation, stations direct and you may feel that subtle, seismic release of power shifting beneath your feet. This isn’t about control but renewal. VENUS in LIBRA lights your tenth house of visibility and legacy, bringing grace and beauty into the way you show up in the world. You are being asked to soften ambition into artistry — to lead from heart, not habit. The CANCER MOON early in the week stirs emotional reflection through partnership, while the VIRGO MOON by the weekend steadies your focus: the work you are here to do is sacred, and you are ready to do it differently now.

AQUARIUS RISING

PLUTO stations direct and it feels like the echo of your own name — a reminder that transformation is not a concept but a lived experience. You may sense the tectonic plates of identity subtly shifting. VENUS in LIBRA brings softness to the intensity, opening portals of connection, learning, and shared truth. The LEO MOON midweek reignites the warmth in your relationships — the balance between self and other glows more clearly now. As the SUN opposes CHIRON, you might feel tender around communication or vulnerability, but the VIRGO MOON later in the week helps metabolize emotion into insight. Nothing is breaking — it’s refining.

PISCES RISING

After weeks of deep feeling, the currents begin to change direction. You may sense something dissolving — a softening of what held you back, particularly around intimacy and trust. With VENUS in LIBRA, your relationships deepen in subtle, profound ways: this is reciprocity, not rescue. PLUTO’s direct motion brings a return of personal power; where you once felt invisible, clarity begins to seep in. The CANCER MOON early in the week reawakens joy and creativity, while the LEO and VIRGO MOONS move you into devotion — to your craft, your body, your balance. Let the heart expand to hold the mystery; you are being rewritten from the inside out.

TAROT OF THE WEEK

The air feels clear this week — not because everything is simple, but because truth wants to breathe. The JUSTICE card arrives as a mirror for the current sky: VENUS in LIBRA, PLUTO stationing , the MOON shifting through the heart of Cancer, the radiance of Leo, and the discernment of Virgo. This is cosmic calibration.

JUSTICE asks: Where are you still choosing imbalance out of habit? Where have you made yourself smaller to keep the peace?

This is not a call to punishment, but to poise. It’s about remembering that equilibrium is not achieved by denying feeling, but by allowing all parts of you — even the uncomfortable ones — to take their rightful place.

Under this card’s influence, decisions become prayers for alignment. Beauty becomes an act of truth-telling. The mirror is kind, but it is clear: life is showing you where to stand with full heart and open eyes.

Affirmation: “I honour my inner balance. I act from love, not fear.”

RITUAL • THE BALANCE OF AIR AND EARTH

This week, our ritual draws upon the element of air (LIBRA’s breath) and the grounding of earth. It’s designed to restore harmony to the body-mind and honour the truth-telling essence of JUSTICE.

This RITUAL is best practiced late morning or early evening — when the air is still moving, but softly so.
You’ll need
A stick of SACRED WOOD or INCENSE (or a small bowl of dried herbs like rosemary and bay to burn safely).
A bowl of cool water and a pinch of sea salt.
Your favourite oil.

RITUAL

Light your incense and trace the smoke around your body in a slow circle. As you do, whisper: “I clear what clouds my truth.”

Dip your fingers in the salted water and touch your forehead, heart, and throat — the centers of thought, love, and speech.

Sit for three breaths and ask, What feels out of alignment right now? Listen, without judgment.

Massage a little oil into your hands, saying, “I act in harmony with what I know to be true.”

Let the incense burn out naturally. Keep the bowl of water near your window to evaporate over the next day.

This ritual isn’t about fixing — it’s about returning.

JUSTICE lives in the quiet moments where your outer world begins to hum in tune with your inner knowing.
