ASTROLOGICAL WEATHER
Poetry in the soles of our feet.
There has been a strange stagnancy moving through the last ten days. A sensation of treading water. After the electricity of ECLIPSE season, the body seemed to fall into a kind of quiet suspension. Not resting exactly, but wrapped in a blanket of numbness where direction felt difficult to find. Current temporarily withdrawn, leaving us floating between movements. This is not unusual after powerful celestial thresholds. Our nervous system often needs time to integrate what the sky has already shifted.
The ASTROLOGICAL WEATHER for MARCH 15–21 begins to change that rhythm. Something begins to stir again beneath the surface. The sky prepares to turn a page. A NEW MOON arrives, MERCURY prepares to end its prickling RETROGRADE, and the SUN crosses the celestial equator beginning an entirely new ASTROLOGICAL YEAR. Movement returns. Not abruptly, but like warmth entering cold hands.

On MARCH 18 the MOON renews herself in PISCES. A NEW MOON in PISCES does not arrive with sharp edges or declarations. It is mist. The beginning of this LUNAR cycle is unlit, and yet something has already begun beneath the visible world. The NEW MOON reminds us that the most important beginnings are often the ones we cannot yet see. The are sensation before they become a form.
PISCES is the final sign of the zodiac, containing echoes of every sign that came before it. In this place the boundaries between things soften. Memory, intuition, imagination and emotion move like water through the body. This lunation invites surrender before action. It asks us to listen rather than decide. To feel the subtle vibration of what is forming beneath the surface of our lives. Sometimes the first signal of becoming is not a plan but a quiet knowing that gathers somewhere low in the body, almost like poetry in the soles of our feet.
In AYURVEDA the closing waters of PISCES soften us into receptivity. Meditation becomes deeper, more permeable, as though the mind itself is listening to the cosmos rather than trying to interpret it. It is an ideal moment for establishing or renewing spiritual disciplines. Intention setting becomes less about force and more about planting seeds in consciousness that will sprout over the coming year. Purification practices carry particular resonance now. Cleansing the body, the home, and the mind prepares the ground for the cycle that is about to begin.
This is the moment to make KITCHARI and spoon it slowly into the mouth, warm and steady. To nourish the body gently. To cool any excess flames while still tending the digestive fire carefully, like a small sacred flame sheltered beneath a clay lamp. Simple foods. Warm spices. Quiet evenings. The body understands these transitions even when the mind does not.
On MARCH 20 the VERNAL EQUINOX arrives as the SUN moves into ARIES. This is the moment when the SUN crosses from the southern into the northern celestial hemisphere, creating equal day and night across the Earth. Light and darkness stand in perfect balance for a breath before the light begins its gradual return. In ASTROLOGY this marks the beginning of the zodiacal year. The wheel of sky begins again.

Violets, violets, wilder, still.
Ancient traditions have long recognised the EQUINOX as a moment of renewal and sacred reset. Winter’s dormancy yields to spring’s vitality. Consciousness emerges from darkness into light. Potential begins its slow transformation into manifestation. Seeds planted quietly in the inner world begin preparing to break the surface of the Earth.
Across many VEDIC traditions this turning of the year is honoured through ritual acts of renewal. Homes are cleaned thoroughly, corners swept, windows opened to the returning light. Branches nd fresh flowers are hung as living decoration, symbols of fertility and vitality entering the household once again. Special meals are prepared that honour all six tastes of life: sweet, sour, bitter, pungent, salty, and astringent. The meal becomes a meditation on the fullness of existence itself, a reminder that life contains every flavour.
There is also an ancient custom of consuming bitter leaves alongside something sweet. The gesture is symbolic and deeply wise. It acknowledges that life will offer both joy and difficulty, sweetness and challenge, and that our task is not to avoid either but to meet them with presence.
This season has always been a time when people consult an ASTROLOGER to understand the year ahead. When the wheel begins again it becomes possible to glimpse the cycles that will shape the coming months and to align our intentions with the rhythm of the sky itself.
ARIES brings the fire of initiation. Where PISCES dissolves and completes, ARIES begins. The movement from water into fire changes the atmosphere of the body almost immediately. ARIES is not guided primarily by analysis or emotional fluctuation. It is guided by instinct. By intuition. By desire and enthusiasm. It is the voice inside us that says yes before the mind has time to hesitate. The part of us that wants to give this life everything it has.
As if the cosmos had arranged the timing deliberately, MERCURY also ends its RETROGRADE on MARCH 20, stationing DIRECT in PISCES on the very day the ASTROLOGICAL YEAR begins. After weeks of review, reflection, misdirection and interior wandering, the mind begins to move forward again. Conversations open. Decisions clarify. What felt tangled begins to release.
It is a week in which the movements of the sky mirror the movements within the human body. As everything shifts above, something shifts within you as well. Whether you can name it or not. Whether you move willingly with it or resist the current. Whether you can see the path ahead or are still standing in mist.
The invitation is simple.
Move with it.

SUN | MOON | RISING
Read through your SUN | MOON | RISING to know where this week’s energy unfolds in your chart. Where the sky meets your body. Take what resonates, leave the rest.
The art of ASTROLOGY is the understanding of symbolic language and cycles, but do you know where you are within the nebula? Are you standing at the beginning where the first spark of a new story catches in the breath, in the middle where the work deepens and devotion becomes a rhythm in the body, or at the threshold where something asks to be completed so the next chapter can open?
ASTROLOGY is a living poetry. Every alignment carries a message through sensation, through timing, through the subtle pull that asks us to move. A PLANET passes through your chart and touches a precise place in your life, stirring memory, desire, courage, tenderness. When we learn to read this language the sky no longer feels distant or random. It becomes intimate. A map written in light.
As we approach the MARCH 20 EQUINOX and the arrival of the SUN in ARIES, the ASTROLOGICAL NEW YEAR begins to breathe open. The wheel turns. Light and dark meet in balance before the fire of ARIES carries us forward into a new cycle of becoming. This moment is a gateway. A place to feel where life is asking you to begin again with clarity, courage, and presence.
In an ASTROLOGY READING with me we explore your NATAL CHART and the current TRANSITS shaping the terrain of your life right now. Together we listen for the PLANET that is leading the dance, the cycle that is unfolding beneath your feet, and the deeper rhythm asking to be lived through you.

ARIES
The week arrives like the quiet inhale before a flame catches. The NEW MOON in PISCES moves through the deepest waters of your inner world, stirring dreams, memory, and the subtle spaces where intuition whispers before logic arrives. You may feel slower here, softer, more permeable to the unseen currents shaping your life. Let that be so. Something is dissolving behind the scenes. Something is preparing. When the SUN crosses into ARIES at the EQUINOX, the ASTROLOGICAL NEW YEAR begins in your sign. Fire returns to your body. Direction returns to your step. This is the moment where instinct becomes the compass again. Trust the first spark.
TAURUS
The stillness of the past days may have felt like waiting for soil to warm. The NEW MOON in PISCES moves through your sphere of community, dreams, and the visions you hold for the future. Something about your belonging is shifting. You may feel called toward different people, different collaborations, different hopes than the ones that once felt certain. Do not rush to define it. Let it breathe. When the SUN enters ARIES at the EQUINOX, energy begins to gather quietly behind you. A cycle is closing in ways that prepare you for something entirely new.
GEMINI
The NEW MOON in PISCES arrives at the peak of your chart like a quiet mist over the mountains of your life direction. Questions of purpose, calling, and visibility ripple through you this week. Something about how you want to move through the world is shifting shape. Not through force, but through feeling. As MERCURY ends its RETROGRADE and the SUN crosses into ARIES, clarity begins returning to your mind. The path ahead does not need to be fully formed. It only needs the next step.
CANCER
The waters of PISCES open a doorway of expansion for you. The NEW MOON here touches the part of your chart that longs for meaning, exploration, and deeper truth. Something within you is remembering the wider sky beyond the familiar shoreline. The feeling may come as restlessness, curiosity, or a sudden call toward study, travel, or spiritual practice. As the EQUINOX arrives and the SUN enters ARIES, the focus turns toward your public life and long-term direction. The seed of a new chapter is being planted.
LEO
The NEW MOON in PISCES moves through the deep undercurrents of intimacy, transformation, and shared energy. This is rarely light territory. It asks for honesty. For trust. For surrender to processes that cannot be rushed. Old emotional patterns may soften here, releasing their hold quietly. Let the waters move through. When the SUN enters ARIES and the ASTROLOGICAL NEW YEAR begins, something within you lifts its gaze toward the horizon again. The fire of possibility begins to rise.
VIRGO
The NEW MOON in PISCES sits directly across from you, illuminating the landscape of relationships. Partnerships of every kind begin a new cycle now. Some connections soften. Others deepen. Some ask for new forms entirely. The energy here is subtle but unmistakable. Listen closely to what your body feels in the presence of another. As MERCURY ends its RETROGRADE and the SUN moves into ARIES, clarity begins returning to emotional entanglements and shared decisions.
LIBRA
The waters of PISCES flow through the everyday rhythms of your life. The NEW MOON here asks you to reconsider the small structures that shape your days. Your health, your work, your rituals of living. Something simple but meaningful wants to shift. Perhaps it begins with rest. Perhaps with nourishment. Perhaps with releasing a pattern that no longer supports your wellbeing. When the SUN crosses into ARIES at the EQUINOX, the focus moves directly into the realm of relationship and reflection. The mirror of another becomes illuminating.
SCORPIO
The NEW MOON in PISCES awakens the part of your life that remembers joy as a form of devotion. Creativity, romance, pleasure, and self-expression begin a quiet new chapter. You may feel drawn toward beauty, art, music, or moments that allow your spirit to move freely again. Let that instinct guide you. When the SUN enters ARIES and the ASTROLOGICAL YEAR turns, energy begins gathering around your daily life and physical vitality. The fire returns to your routine.
SAGITTARIUS
The PISCES NEW MOON moves through the foundations of your life, touching the spaces of home, belonging, and emotional roots. You may feel the need to retreat slightly from the outer world this week. To nest. To listen to what your inner landscape is asking for. Sometimes renewal begins in the quietest rooms of the house. As the EQUINOX arrives and the SUN enters ARIES, creative fire begins returning to your body. Movement, play, and inspiration stir again.
CAPRICORN
The NEW MOON in PISCES moves through your mind like tidewater through small channels of thought. Words, ideas, and conversations begin forming new pathways now. You may feel called to write, speak, study, or simply listen more deeply to the language of your own thoughts. As MERCURY ends its RETROGRADE and the SUN enters ARIES, attention turns toward the foundations of home and emotional grounding. The coming season asks for both movement and rootedness.
AQUARIUS
The NEW MOON in PISCES flows through the realm of value and resources in your life. Questions around worth, security, and how you nourish yourself materially and energetically begin a new cycle. Notice what you truly value now. It may not be the same as it once was. When the SUN enters ARIES and the ASTROLOGICAL NEW YEAR begins, your mind begins to quicken again. Curiosity returns. Conversations open. The next idea arrives.
PISCES
The NEW MOON arrives in your own sign, beginning a deeply personal LUNAR cycle. You may feel as though something inside you is quietly reorganising itself. Identity, direction, and self-understanding soften and begin to reshape from within. There is no need to rush clarity. This is a seed moment. When the SUN moves into ARIES at the EQUINOX, attention turns toward grounding what is emerging. The fire of the new year asks how this inner shift will take form in the tangible world.
