GINGER and ELDERBERRY TONIC for AUTUMN

Here is the RECIPE for our much requested ginger and elderberry tonic that we will be sipping to amp up our immunity, and digestive fire to be strong.

Drink it as a shot or add recently boiled water and sip it as a tea.Keeps well in the fridge for a week but it’s such an addictive zing I doubt it will last that long.

Ingredients -

3 lemons (juiced)

2 tbsp apple cider vinegar

1–2 inches fresh ginger (grated or thinly sliced)

1 tsp turmeric powder (or fresh turmeric, grated)

2 cups water

2–3 tbsp elderberry syrup (adjust to taste)

Pinch of salt

Pinch of black pepper (to activate turmeric)

Intructions

Add to a blender and blitz.

Taste and adjust: add more lemon for tartness, elderberry syrup for sweetness, or water if too strong.
