BUTTERFLY PEA FLOWERS and THE JUPITER RITUAL

BUTTERFLY PEA FLOWERS (SHANKAPUSHPI) TISANE

SHANKAPUSHPI is widely used in Ayurveda to enhance our mood, holistic wellbeing,
and to expand our view. Also known as Butterfly Pea (The botanical name is Clitoria Ternatea, so we know it’s going to be good).

SHAKAPUSHPI is considered a medhya rayasana (brain tonic) that supports memory and cognitive function. This blue jewel is a nootropic, supporting cognition and memory and facilitates our ability to envision. Add two or three flowers to a beautiful cup and pour over recently boiled water. We sit as it steeps and allow our eyes to be bathed in the wonder that appears. this infusion changes from a Tamarama blue to a lullaby purple when we add lemon, and emerald, green if we add a little turmeric, or saffron.

Embrace being artists in our tea bowls.

We can also use BUTTERFLY PEA FLOWERS to create magic on warmer days. I added ice to a glass jug, rose petals and cooled SHANKAPUSHPI TEA with extra water.

The children LOVED squeezing in lemon and creating their own perfect shades of purple.

THE JUPITER RITUAL

This month (JUNE 7th) JUPITER shifts signs to CANCER after a full year in GEMINI This cosmic change bringing with expansion and renewal.

JUPITER radiates expansive energy and encourages us to set intentions abound abundance and positivity. You can do a whole elaborate ritual with candles, incense, crystals, etc, or you can simply write your intention down. Intention setting does not have to be a complicated thing. Where we place intention, we ignite expansion. Our possibility to create change is renewed every day and magnified through consistent practice.

The JUPITER RITUAL is celebrated every day for seven days
beginning on a Thursday - JUPITER’s day is Thursday (before Venus on Friday).

To understand more about how this transformative transit is lighting your chart, and how to best harness the energy, book an ASTROLOGY READING with me.
